AT MALACCA ZOO |
Firstly let me introduce Malacca which is now known as one of the Heritage Sites by UNESCO since 7 July 2008. The third smallest state in Malaysia. If Malaysia is a melting pot then Melaka or Malacca well known as a cultural crucible - where six hundreds years of warfare and ethnic intermarrige have formed the core of what has evolved into the mordern nation. There are so many interesting place to visit in Malacca which is firmly rooted as Malaysian historical City. Visiting Malacca is like a journey back in time to witness the adventures and discoveries during Malacca 's golden age. Among those attraction in Melaka is
A Famosa built by the Portugese as fortress in 1511. The Dutch destroyed most of the fort but what remains today was saved by Sir Stamford Raffles in 1810. The Romanesque architecture as well as the cool breezes wafting through the ruined wall will make your exploration a pleasant one. This is a must visit for anyone visiting Melaka.

MY HOMESTAY GUEST |
In 1511 Melaka fell to the hand of the Portugese. Followed by the Dutch in 1641. In 1795 Malacca was given to the British to prevent it falling to the French. The Dutch who held Malacca for over a century left many fine building marking their heritage. The most imposing relic is the
Stadthuys, a red town hall which is today the oldest Dutch building in the far East. Next stands the red
Christ Church constructed with bricks imported from Holland and covered with local red lacerite. Today these building with the ruins of the Portuguese build A Famosa and
St Pauls Church are the prominent reminder of the European presence in Malacca. And there is alot more to see at Bandar Hilir the Heritage Spot.

At Air Keroh which about 10 kilometer from Bandar Hilir is the
Malacca Zoo. Jonker Walk is another attraction spot. This is haven for antiques collectors, bargain hunters and shopaholics. Here you can find a wide variety of items, from souvenirs to yammy local food. The latest
Hard Rock Cafe, Malacca is nearby Jonker Walk @ Jalan Hang Jebat. The latest and top attraction in Malacca now is the
Malacca River Cruise. The Malacca River which flows through the middle of Malacca Town was a vital trade route during the heyday of Malacca Sultanate in the 15 century. The 45 minute cruise is accompanied by an entertaning and informatif commentary. See partsof historical Malacca, get a history lesson for next to nothing and never break a sweat.
About 10 kilometer from this area is where my Homestay located. A small house with 3 rooms and 2 bathroom. A small garden in front of my house. I named my
Homestay Roemahkoe which means
